Our upcoming release ArangoDB 2.8 is currently available as BETA , adding stunning new features to AQL and allowing to make use of array indexing. In our beta announcement we list all the details and explain how to use graph traversals in pure AQL. Please give it a try and help us finish the release sooner.

Also in the past two weeks, we’ve published outstanding cluster performance benchmarks, scaling ArangoDB to Gigabyte/s bandwidth on Mesosphere.

Starting with 8 database nodes, we scaled ArangoDB in a Mesos Cluster to 80 nodes – measuring throughput and latency for reads/writes and mixed..

The first beta release of ArangoDB 2.8 is available for download now, adding Array Indexes and Graph Traversals in AQL. Please try the new version, report bugs on Github and provide us your valuable feedback.

ArangoDB 2.7.2 comes with replication improvements and some bug fixes. You can download the latest version from our download page.

Replication improvements:

In the first maintenance release of ArangoDB 2.7 we have switched from readline to linenoise ng for line-editing and history capabilities on the command line.

Furthermore, the AQL function MERGE() improved, now working on a single array parameter, too. This allows combining the attributes of multiple objects from an array into a single object, e.g.:

In ArangoDB 2.6.9 we have fixed an AQL skiplist issue that occurs in a combination of sort and limit.

The release ArangoDB 2.6.8 fixes a memory access bug on ARM. So for your pet project on a Raspberry Pi you need to change the CPU alignment setting to allow unaligned memory access.

There is no need to update to 2.6.8 for other distributions.

ArangoDB is available as Amazon Marketplace Image (AMI) for free.

A new maintenance release 2.6.7 is available for download.

ArangoDB 2.6.5 is available for download. This is a bugfix release that solves the following issues:

In the past two weeks we’ve celebrated some lock-hunting days, trying to eliminate read/write locks to enhance throughput . Furthermore, we did some large cluster tests on GCE, which will be continued over the next days. A maintenance release of ArangoDB 2.6, released earlier this week, comes with a new V8 engine.

Two maintenance releases are available. ArangoDB 2.5.7 and ArangoDB 2.6.4 use an upgraded V8 engine (4.1.0.27).
